Should I Run?
Like the plurality of voters in this country, I do not align with a party. As a registered Independent I educate myself on issues and candidates and vote accordingly. Sadly, the GOP has devolved into a confused mess of fear and violence. I hope they find their way back to the party of Lincoln. The progressive fringe of the Democratic party also engages in fairly endless arrogance and patronizing. Independent, unaffiliated voters can see this clearly while party loyalists cannot.
So out of this polarized, agitated mess comes Rep. Lauren Boebert (R, CO 3rd). Boebert was arrested several times. She’s a high school drop-out who supports Q-anon and domestic terrorists. Boebert thinks the 2nd Amendment gives her the right to open carry a handgun anywhere she wants, including DC (where it’s illegal) and into the Capitol itself.
At a bar she owns and runs in Rifle (yep) Colorado, Boebert encourages her waitresses to carry hand-guns as they sling beer and fries, presumably because it’s a dangerous business (and reports about the food there confirm this). Carrying a weapon in a place that serves alcohol is illegal in Colorado but Boebert doesn’t care about the law and openly disregards it. She breezed into DC promising to be armed everywhere she went.
An untethered mind is the most dangerous thing around, especially one which justifies consorting with domestic terrorists. Lauren, nothing can protect you from yourself.
